Basic working of fire alarm system?

Asked: Basic working of fire alarm system?

A fire alarm system is basically an alarm monitor, electronic device which receives electrical signal from remotely located sensors. The alarm monitor then sounds an alarm, energizes alarm lights and other things which are installed in conjunction with the monitor console.

The 'fire' sensors, which close a contact to signal the monitor console, can be a heat sensor (usually a rate-of-rise temperature sensor), a smoke detector (which senses the ions in the smoke) or sensors which detect UV or IR radiation.

There can be many 'bells and whistles' connected to the monitor console.

This is only a basic description.

Portable Wireless Alarm System?

Asked: Portable Wireless Alarm System?

They do work, but make sure you get some background and confirmation about the system you buy. I am retired now but was a fire alarm engineer, I had to condemn a wireless system in a school, because the signal from the devices were not strong enough to "talk" to the main panel. Admittedly this was because of both distance and thick walls so you may not have that problem in a flat. Just be aware that they are battery operated, where the units need to be accessible for you to change the batteries when needed.

Asked: Question: Why does the Quran contradict this theological truth (this fulfilled prophecy)?

A. The Qur'an recognizes that Jesus of Nazareth is a Prophet [1]

B. The Qur'an recognizes that the Gospels contain some theological truth [2][3][4]

1. Jesus of Nazareth (the Prophet) Himself said (in the Gospels) that He would be executed by the means of crucifixion and that He would be resurrected from the dead [5]

2. Jesus of Nazareth (the Prophet) was executed by the means of crucifixion and He was resurrected from the dead (as recorded in the Gospels) [6][7]

3. Therefore, the execution of Jesus of Nazareth and the resurrection of Jesus of Nazareth from the dead (the prophecy produced by the Prophet) is a theological truth (because the prophecy was fulfilled)

4. The Quran contradicts this fulfilled prophecy (this theological truth) [8]

[1] (He said: "I am indeed a servant of Allah: He hath given me revelation and made me a prophet;) The Koran 19:30, Yusuf Ali

[2] (Let the people of the Gospel judge by what Allah hath revealed therein. If any do fail to judge by (the light of) what Allah hath revealed, they are (no better than) those who rebel.) The Koran 5:47, Yusuf Ali

[3] (Say: "O People of the Book! ye have no ground to stand upon unless ye stand fast by the Law, the Gospel, and all the revelation that has come to you from your Lord." It is the revelation that cometh to thee from thy Lord, that increaseth in most of them their obstinate rebellion and blasphemy. But sorrow thou not over (these) people without Faith.) The Koran 5:68, Yusuf Ali

[4] ("Those who follow the messenger, the unlettered Prophet, whom they find mentioned in their own (scriptures),- in the law and the Gospel;- for he commands them what is just and forbids them what is evil; he allows them as lawful what is good (and pure) and prohibits them from what is bad (and impure); He releases them from their heavy burdens and from the yokes that are upon them. So it is those who believe in him, honour him, help him, and follow the light which is sent down with him,- it is they who will prosper.") The Qur'an 7:157, Yusuf Ali

[5] (for he was teaching his disciples, saying to them, The Son of Man is going to be delivered into the hands of men, and they will kill him. And when he is killed, after three days he will rise….You know that after two days the Passover is coming, and the Son of Man will be delivered up to be crucified.) Mark 9:31, Matthew 26:2, The New Testament, English Standard Version (2001)

[6] (And it was the third hour when they crucified him. And Jesus uttered a loud cry and breathed his last. Pilate was surprised to hear that he should have already died. And summoning the centurion, he asked him whether he was already dead. And when he learned from the centurion that he was dead, he granted the corpse to Joseph.) Mark 15:25, 37, 44-45, The New Testament, English Standard Version (2001)

[7] (And entering the tomb, they saw a young man sitting on the right side, dressed in a white robe, and they were alarmed. And he said to them, Do not be alarmed. You seek Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He has risen; he is not here. See the place where they laid him. But go, tell his disciples and Peter that he is going before you to Galilee. There you will see him, just as he told you.) Mark 16:5-7, The New Testament, English Standard Version (2001)

[8] (And because of their saying (in boast), "We killed Messiah s (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary), the Messenger of Allh," – but they killed him not, nor crucified him, but it appeared so to them [the resemblance of s (Jesus) was put over another man (and they killed that man)], and those who differ therein are full of doubts. They have no (certain) knowledge, they follow nothing but conjecture. For surely; they killed him not [i.e. s (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary) ]: But Allh raised him [s (Jesus)] up (with his body and soul) unto Himself (and he is in the heavens). And Allh is Ever All-Powerful, All-Wise.) The Quran 4:157-158, King Fahd Complex for the Printing of the Holy Qur'an

Asked: What is a good wireless motion alert detector with audible alarm?

Inside I assume. Go to Lowes or Home Depot. They have the type you want and it comes with a remote to cut it off when needed.
I have high ceilings and the remote is handy.
Do make sure you're really wanting one because it will go off if a spider or any small insect crawls across it. This happened to me at 2AM and scared the sh_t outta me. I have it in an unused room leading to my bedroom. I barricaded my door and called the sheriff's office to check out the whole house for an intruder. So embarrassing to find it was a spider. Good response time though. And, by the way, the decibel level is astounding. I have to run while testing it.

Asked: Nearly Housebroken dog, now "going" inside again!?

Our puppy is about 5 1/2 months old. We've been working on his potty training, and he's been doing really well; accidents were becoming fewer and fewer, and things were progressing well.We use the Petsafe Wireless Containment System, and it was time to start putting him on the collar. The first day or two he was afraid of it (understandably) and had an accident or two in the house, since he didn't want to go outside. Now, about 3 days later, he loves the freedom! He runs in and out without us, having a ball. BUT his accidents have become much more frequent, even though he's spending oodles of more time outside! He peed inside 3 times in the last 4 hours (mostly small amounts), even though the door was propped open for him to come and go as he pleased, which he had been doing! He isn't afraid to go outside-he runs in and out all the time. Why is this happening? What can we do? He was doing so well, and the light was visible at the end of the tunnel. Now I feel like we've backtracked so much. Help!
